The ceremony involves the careful preparation of kava and drinking of kava together as a community. However, before drinking Kava, you’ll be asked to clap once and say “bula” (a cheer for long life and good health), and then asked to drink the entire cup in one go. When one cup runs out, you can always ask for another. The Kava ceremonies are usually a significant part of Fujian cultural and social gatherings.
